Day 25 → The reason you believe you're still alive today.

Day 26 → Have you ever thought about giving up on life? If so, when and why?

I think if everyone is honest with themselves they will all answer yes to this question. Maybe there will be varying degrees to which people thought about "giving up" ... for some it may have been suicide and for others it may have just been losing the determination to find something better than a minimum wage job. Either way everyone has had that moment where they say, "Damn I just wish it was easy. I just want to get out of here. I wish it was over."

I definitely have been in that place. Though I have never attempted suicide or anything of that severity I was in a bad place for a while. I constantly was weighing my options - wondering if I just gave up on chasing my dreams, if I quit school and moved home and let go of what I had always hoped for that my life would just magically be simpler. Clearly that wasn't the path I chose to take but the thoughts still find their way in sometimes.

I find myself thinking how much easier it would be if I just gave up on trying to be something better. If I just settled for who I am now and what I have and didn't strive to be smarter, prettier, wealthier, etc. In reality none of that matters - I just want to be happy. And giving up doesn't make me happy. I learned that lesson the hard way at times.

Day 27 → What’s the best thing going for you right now?
Day 28 → What if you were pregnant or got someone pregnant, what would you do?
Day 29 → Something you hope to change about yourself. And why.
Day 30 → A letter to yourself, tell yourself EVERYTHING you love about yourself.
